Formed in 2021, LightBox TV is the first independent management solution for marketers and media buyers running addressable TV advertising campaigns in connected TV (CTV) environments. With our advanced LightBox TV Platform, we provide marketers, planners and media buyers with the tools needed to effectively manage connected TV campaigns across an expanding and fragmented TV ecosystem.

Based on AWS cloud solutions and modern JavaScript technologies, with a well-organised team of experienced engineers, LightBox TV is creating an innovative and quality product with high coding standards.

Overview

Having recently launched our MVP in market, and secured funding for the next phases of development, we are now looking for an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join our expanding engineering division. You will play a pivotal and foundational role in the development of the LightBox TV platform. Working closely with our VP Product and senior engineers, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills and mature as a developer.

About You

You are a skilled full-stack developer, who is able to switch easily from technology to people. Whilst the solution is your specialty, you love the problem in equal measure. You are a responsible, proactive and communicative engineer with a technical mindset. You won’t be passive to product requirements, but rather collaborate and challenge to ensure that user experience, design, performance and accuracy are of the highest standards. You are excited by the prospect of joining a lean and agile startup with big ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and integrate web services based on React and Next JS
• Measure and evaluate features and system metrics to continuously improve user experience and service performance
• Evolve design and architecture to support growth across the LightBox TV platform
• Partner with Product to develop features and functionality to enable new capabilities in the LightBox TV platform
• Define and follow software standards and processes from peer code reviews to coding standards
• Partner with Ops and Product to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues

Requirements

What you need to be successful:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong understanding of Javascript and React JS, and their core principles
• Experience with styled components, Sass
• Familiarity with state management (e.g. Redux)
• Experience with TypeScript and an understanding of OOP
• Understanding and experience with REST API services
• A keen eye for detail and proficiency in design
• English level: Upper-intermediate

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in Node.js, MongoDB/DocumentDb
• Experience in Next or a similar Frontend framework
• Experience with AWS technologies - Cognito, Amplify, Lambda, S3, Amazon Database, EC2
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD tools (e.g. Vercel)
• Experience in ad technology and programmatic advertising
• Experience of working in a remote and fast growing team
